The core content of the WEEE Directive


From August 13, 2005, manufacturers of electrical and electronic equipment circulating on the EU market must be legally responsible for paying for the recycling of scrapped products. At the same time, EU member states are obliged to formulate their own recycling of electrical and electronic products. It is planned to establish relevant supporting recycling facilities so that end users of electrical and electronic products can dispose of scrapped equipment conveniently and free of charge.

WEEE Directive Targets

Established by the producer on August 13, 2005 or Use the recycling system to achieve a 50%-80% recycling rate assessment target after one year (the manufacturer, including its importers and distributors, is responsible for recycling and processing waste electrical and electronic products entering the EU market).
