What is FCC certification?

      The full name of FCC is Federal Communications Commission, and Chinese is Federal Communications Commission of the United States. Established by COMMUNICATIONACT in 1934, it is an independent agency of the US government and is directly responsible to Congress. The FCC coordinates domestic and international communications by controlling radio broadcasting, television, telecommunications, satellites and cables.

Involving more than 50 states in the United States, Colombia, and regions in the United States. In order to ensure the safety of radio and wire communication products related to life and property, the FCC’s Engineering and Technology Department is responsible for the technical support of the committee and is responsible for equipment approval.

Many radio application products, communication products and digital products require FCC approval to enter the US market.

FCC authentication method:

      Since the Federal Communications Commission officially announced on November 2, 2017 to simplify the certification process and the use of electronic tags, the FCC DoC and FCC VOC have been officially merged into SDoC. FCC certification is composed of the previous DoC VOC and ID is simplified into SDoc and ID.

Changes in FCC SDoC certification:
1. There are clear requirements for the person in charge of the product, and the contact information of the US company needs to be provided. The responsible party can be the importer, the consignee or the customs broker, and at the same time After November 2, 2018, FCC DOC and FCC VOC will become invalid;

2. All SDoC products can independently choose whether to mark the FCC Logo;

3. The authentication methods of our common equipment have undergone major changes. Except for wireless transmission products/scanning receivers/power line broadband access/radar detection products, FCC ID must be made, and FCC ID or SDOC can be selected for all other products.

FCC certification process:
Step 1: Apply for Application
1. Fill in the application form
2. Apply for the company information form
3. Provide product information

Step 2: Quotation
1. Determine the test standard, test time and corresponding fees according to the provided information.
2. Step 3: Pay Pay
3. After the applicant confirms the quotation, Sign the application form and service agreement and pay the full project fee.

The fourth step: Testing
     The laboratory conducts a full set of tests on the applied products and the difference test of related models according to the relevant U.S. testing standards

Step 5: The test is passed and the report is complete

Step 6: The project is completed and the FCC VOC certificate is issued. The factory retains the FCC VOC product type test report Test Report.

FCC certification information:
1. The full name and detailed contact address of the manufacturer of the product applying for certification and the party applying for certification.

2. A copy of the installation and use manual of the certified product will be provided to the user. (If the product does not yet have a user manual, a draft copy of the relevant content can be provided)

3. Product electrical schematic diagram and working principle description. (If the product has ground or antenna, it should be described)

4. Regarding the working oscillation frequency table of the product, the propagation path of the signal and the corresponding oscillation frequency should be listed in the table.

5. Some other product features that need to be explained.

Remarks:
1. Relevant documents must be in both Chinese and English.
2. In order to shorten the certification cycle, the information provided is preferably in the form of electronic documents.
3. During the certification process, for some special circumstances, it may be necessary for the company to submit other additional relevant materials.

FCC certification cost:
1. For ordinary products to do FCC-SDoC certification, the cost is about 1,000-3500 yuan;

2. For wireless products, such as mobile phones, wireless remote controls, Bluetooth speakers, tablets, etc., FCC-ID certification will be higher.

FCC certification time:
      FCC certification time is 1-2 weeks, in order to speed up this process, FCC authorized more A private organization issues certification, and through cooperation with TCB (Telecom Certification Body), FCC certification can be issued within 7 working days.
