E/e-mark certification

What is E/e-mark certification?

Introduction to E-MARK certification E-Mark is also the European Common Market. For automobiles and motorcycles and their safety parts and products, noise and exhaust gas, etc., all products must meet the certification requirements of the European Union and the European Economic Commission, and they will be awarded Qualification certificate to ensure the safety of driving and the requirements of environmental protection. The number of E-Mark is different according to the certification country. For example, when Luxembourg applies, its E-Mark mark is E13/e13.

E-mark certification required information:

A01 New Customer Information Form (Applicants apply for E/e4,8 for the first time, otherwise do not fill in)

A02 Primary Review Form (Applicants apply for E/e4,8 for the first time, otherwise do not fill in)

A03 Contract signed between applicant and manufacturer (manufacturer and applicant need to fill in differently, otherwise don’t fill in)

A04 authorization letter (required)

A05 application form (required)

A06 Product Consistency Statement (If there are multiple models, please fill in, otherwise don’t fill in)

A07 Trademark User Manual (required if the applicant needs to use a brand other than its own, otherwise it shall not be filled)

A08 Affiliated company declaration (required for affiliation)

A09 Agency Letter (Required)

A10 ISO certificate of manufacturer (if there is no ISO certificate, factory inspection is required), business license of applicant

 

E-MARK certified product range

1. Complete vehicles-motorized vehicles with two or more wheels, such as passenger cars, trucks, motorcycles, buses, and off-road vehicles.
2. Automobile and motorcycle parts and components—car lights and bulbs, various sight glasses, tires, rims, brakes, horns, anti-theft equipment, seat belts,
automobile glass and exhaust pipes, etc.
3. Accessories for automobiles and motorcycles—safety helmets, child safety chairs, electrical appliances in the car, etc.

 

Data required for E-MARK certification

A01 new customer information form (if the applicant applies for E/e4,8 for the first time, otherwise do not fill it);

E/e-mark certification process

1. The manufacturer prepares technical data and samples;
2. Tests;
3. Factory inspection is required for the first application;
(has been issued by the EU national certification body  In principle, manufacturers with ISO9000 and other quality system certificates do not need to make factory inspections);
4. Submission of test reports and manufacturer’s technical data for review;
5. Certification issued by European transport agencies ( The issuing agency may conduct regular or irregular follow-up factory inspections on certified product manufacturers);

 

E/e-mark certified factory inspection

 Factory inspection is required for the first application (manufacturers who have obtained ISO9000 and other quality system certificates issued by EU national certification bodies do not need to do factory inspection in principle).
