What is Energy Star

Energy Star is a government program jointly promoted by the US Department of Energy and the US Environmental Protection Agency to better protect the living environment and save energy. Participated by the US Environmental Protection Agency in 1992, it was first promoted on computer products. There are now more than 30 types of products included in the scope of this certification, such as household appliances, heating/refrigeration equipment, electronic products, lighting products, etc. Currently, lighting products, including energy-saving lamps (CFL), are the most developed in the Chinese market. , Lamps (RLF), traffic lights and exit indicators.

Energy Star Certification Process

1. Telephone consultation

2. Provide ENERGY STAR certification information and application form

3. The applicant fills in the application form (submit manufacturer information)

4. Submit samples and product information

5. Perform laboratory tests on samples

6. Submit test data and related documents to the ENERGY STAR competent authority

7. Passed the review and sent a letter from ENERGY STAR

8. The product is labeled with Energy Star
