EU RoHS test

The EU is the main export market for China's mechanical and electrical products, so it is necessary for export manufacturers to understand the EU RoHS testing and certification. ROHS is a mandatory standard established by EU legislation. It is the abbreviation of "Restriction of the use of Certain Hazardous Substances" (Restriction of the use of Certain Hazardous Substances). Before the change, it mainly restricted six hazardous substances in electronic and electrical products: lead pb, cadmium Cd, mercury Hg, hexavalent chromium Cr6+, polybrominated biphenyls PBBs, and polybrominated diphenyl ethers PBDEs. After the change, it is mainly revised for Appendix II, adding 4 new restricted substances: DEHP, BBP, DBP, DIBP, the limit of which is 0.1wt% (1000ppm), the directive came into effect on June 24, 2015, namely ROHS 2.0 The standard test items of the directive accumulate to 10 restricted substances.

The form of RoHS testing and certification

a. Integration + sampling: RoHS report of all raw materials used in the production process of EUT (must be issued by a well-known authority RoHS inspection report) for review and collation of the integrated report. Sampling inspection is to test the parts that are easy to exceed the standard to determine whether it exceeds the standard (sampling inspection is optional);
b. Scanning test method + chemical analysis test method: Only a small part of EUT has RoHS report or fundamental In the absence of a RoHS report, a scan test is performed on all EUT materials, and a chemical analysis test method is performed on the materials with high test data and exceeding the standard;
c. Chemical analysis test method: The method for chemical analysis and testing of all materials of EUT.
