RoHS certification

1. Overview of RoHS

    RoHS is a mandatory standard established by EU legislation. Its full name is "Restriction of Hazardous Substances" (Restriction of Hazardous Substances).
The standard has been formally implemented on July 1, 2006. It is mainly used to standardize the material and process standards of electronic and electrical products, making it more conducive to human health and environmental protection.

2, RoHS testing product range

The scope of the Rohs directive covers the electronic and electrical products listed in the catalog below AC1000V and DC1500:

  1). Large household appliances: refrigerators, washing machines, microwave ovens, air conditioners, etc.;
  2). Small household appliances: vacuum cleaners, electric irons, hair dryers, ovens, clocks, etc.;
  3). IT and communication equipment: computers, fax machines, telephones, mobile phones, etc.;
  4). Civil equipment: radios, televisions, video recorders, musical instruments, etc.;
  5). Lighting equipment: fluorescent lamps other than household lighting, lighting control devices;
  6). Power tools: electric drills, lathes, welding, sprayers, etc. (except for large industrial tools that need to be installed);
  7). Toys/entertainment, sports equipment: electric cars, video game consoles;
  8). Medical equipment: radiation therapy equipment, electrocardiogram testers, analytical instruments, etc.;
  9 ). Monitoring/control equipment: smoke detectors, incubators, factory monitoring and control machines, etc.;
  10). Vending machines;
Among them, the RoHS directive is temporarily not applicable to Articles 8 and 9 Article. The above are all within the scope of NTEK business.

3. The latest standard of rohs certification:
      The European Union issued Directive (EU) 2015/863 in its official gazette and revised the RoHS2.0 Directive 2011 /65/EU Annex II of the restricted substances list, adding four phthalate substances: bis(2-ethylhexyl) phthalate (DEHP), dibutyl phthalate (DBP), Benzyl butyl phthalate (BBP) and diisobutyl phthalate (DIBP). So far, the list of restricted substances in Annex II of the ROHS2.0 directive has been officially updated to 10 items, as shown in the following table:

4. Preparation of RoHS testing and certification materials:

  1). Only for heavy metal detection: about 5-10g for solids and 5-10mL for liquids;
  2). For detection of brominated flame retardants only: about 10-20g for solids , The liquid needs to provide 10-20mL;
  3). Perform heavy metal and organic pollutant testing: provide about 20-30g samples;
  4). Perform other organic pollutant testing: provide About 30g sample;
  5). Only test the sample of the plating (coating) part, and the approximate weight of the material part of the plating (coating) shall be indicated; if the weight of the plating (coating) part is up to If the sample quantity is less than the requirement, the raw material of the coating (coating) shall be provided.

5.Rohs certification process:
1. Fill in the test application form
2. Test samples are provided according to the specific test items, and send the samples to us.
3. After receiving the completed application form, we will make a contract quotation, confirm the signature and seal and send it back
4. After receiving the test payment, arrange the samples for inspection, and issue a national authority after the inspection is completed Test report.

6. Cost of rohs certification:
      The cost of RoHS certification is calculated according to the material, and depending on the product, the cost of testing is 200-600 for one material. , If there are many materials, it can be packaged and calculated.

To give an example, for example, plastic pellets are made of RoHS. The pellets are made of a single material and the cost is estimated to be 300 yuan, which is relatively low. If the material is complex, specific evaluation is required.

7. Rohs certification cycle:
Normal 4-5 working days, expedited 2-3 working days!

8. RoHS inspection factory inspection

   No factory inspection is required, but RoHS generally requires a one-year validity period. In fact, the RoHS test report itself is only based on the analysis of the product. As long as your product material, production process and process remain unchanged, the test report can be effective for a long time.

National certification testing ROHS certification advantages:

1. The products have been reported by actual measurement

2. Accreditation Committee CNAS/CMA qualification, EU authorized institution

3. Self-test The price is more favorable! For details, please consult customer service online, or call toll-free directly!

4. There are branches in various places (national acceptance)
