What is the Australian RCM certification

RCM is the abbreviation of the regulatory compliance mark. The products that need to be made are mainly telecommunications products, radio communication products and electrical products.

Electrical products are mainly non-regulated and regulated products, because not all products marked with RCM need to be registered. Non-regulated products do not need to be registered. At present, only Level 3 electrical products need to be registered. There are 56 categories with high risk factors such as power adapters and vacuum cleaners.

Under normal circumstances, the RCM logo should be marked on the product label. The agent number originally requested. The new RCM does not need to indicate the agent number.

Since this requirement was issued on March 1, 2013, there has been a three-year transition period, and it will be enforced on March 1, 2016 next year, so manufacturers should prepare as soon as possible. As the new RCM requirements are different from the previous ones, except that importers will bear the high risk of substandard product quality, and importers need to pay registration fees and annual registration fees, there are very few companies that provide this service.
